On August 26th, a Sharia Law Student sent a Comment to Snake Hunters Weblog - the final evidence needed to prove beyond doubt that these "holy" ancient writings are grossly in error. I have no doubt my friend Mohamed believes this to be a reasonable conclusion.

However, Mohamed Fadly has inadvertently provided the world the following information:

See: Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Numbers 830, 831, 832.

Narrated Abdullah bin Masud: During The Lifetime of the Prophet the Moon Was Split Into Two Parts, and on that the Prophet Said, "Bear witness (to thus). Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 830.

Narrated Anas: That the Meccan people requested Allah's Apostle to show them a miracle, and so he showed them the splitting of the moon. Bukhari Volume 4, Book 56, Number 831.

Narrated ibn Abbas: The moon was split into two parts during the lifetime of the Prophet. Volume 4, Book 56, Number 832.

The writer wonders , "What could cause a long indentation on the Moon?" that was first discovered 200 years ago with a small telescope...." An earthquake or volcano? "Maybe?"

Mohamed adds, "Muslims believe that the moon was split into two parts, then reunited!

IF Muslims Believe... That All Other Civilizations, On All Other Continents, Were Blinded In 600 A.D. To Such A Huge Catastrophic Event As The Moon Splitting Into Two Parts( ! )... then He Has Given The Rest of Humanity an Error from which our Modern Astronomy will never recover!

This Allows A Skeptical World To Question The Existance of ALLAH, the LEGITIMACY OF ISLAM, and The INTEGRITY of ISLAM'S GREAT PROPHET, MOHAMMAD-570ce - 632 A.D.( Died, Age 62 ).

b) These muslim "holy scriptures" strongly propel many radical leaders in high places to "Wipe Israel Off The Map" > Eliminated From the Pages Of History. IRAN'S President Ahmadinejad Declared It!

c) They Actually Believe - That The Moon Actually Split Into Two Separate Pieces During The Lifetime
Of Their Holiest Prophet Mohammad (570-632 A.D.) Then Returned To Be Miraculously Re-United...(only Meccans saw it) - The Rest Of The World Missed This Stellar Event!

d) They, the 'Sons of Ali' actually believe that the "Madhi" of 941 A.D., the 12th Imam, will return to earth after the final war to Rule the Earth...for Allah!

Mr. reb,

If I'm the one meant by "a Sharia Law Student", then I think I must talk..

At first, let me please correct some misguiding points in the post:

a) I'm not a Sharia Law Student. I'm a student in Law Faculty. Sharia is one subject of tens of other subjects of our study. We study Civil Law, Penal & Criminal Law, Comparative Law, Commercial Law, General & Private International Law, History of Laws (Greeks, Pharaohs, Hamorabi, Jewish, etc), Law in a foreign language, etc.
Sharia Faculty is a different faculty.

b) I sent the comment on my blog (Understanding Islam) not yours. See; "Islam: Way Of Logical Conviction" post, comment section, August 26, 2009 7:17 AM .

c) Prophet Muhammad died at the age of 63, not 62.

Now, about the splitting of the moon..

It's approved that any messenger sent by God, there must be some outstanding miracle that support what this messenger came by, to convince his people that he truly came from God, the Most Powerful. This miracle must be very in-normal, breaking some law of nature laws. It maybe turning clay into doves, or resurrection of the dead people, using a stick to split the sea, fire don't burn, etc. That's the point of any miracle that any prophet come with, to break some of the laws of the nature.

Splitting the moon was one of these miracles. The tribe of the prophet asked him to show them a miracle, he asked them if that will make them believe, they said Yes. The prophet then asked God to make a miracle, and it was the splitting of the moon. When it happened, they said that the prophet performed some magic on their eyes. Then they waited for the caravans heading to Mecca in that night, and asked them if they saw any in-normal thing in the desert. They told them that they saw the moon splitting into two parts then reunited. Not all of them believed because of seeing that miracle. Their arrogance stopped them.

Now, why not all civilizations saw that incident?

a) When Earth is round not flat, so it's impossible for all regions on Earth to witness the same incident that happens in space. Claiming the opposite of that will reveal a deep ignorance.
Personally I experienced that fact..
In April, 2006, there were a Solar Eclipse, it was full in West of Egypt, in my city to the East it was partial. I recorded it by my camera and published its stages on my blog. So, my point is that it's not possible for all regions on earth to witness the same space incident, even in the same country.

b) It was witnessed by the Arab caravans that were heading to Mecca in that night.

c) It's believed to be witnessed by an Indian king, Chakrawati Farnas.

d) There were no researches to prove if neighbor civilization have witnessed it or not, but in India it's witnessed.

e) We can't judge a miracle by our normal laws of nature. A miracle is made to break some of the laws of nature. We cannot judge what Jesus did to the clay and to the dead people by our normal logical laws. Miracle is to break laws of nature.

About the image of the Lunar Rille, it's not 100% sure to be the place of the reunion. It maybe, and maybe not. Until now Muslims couldn't make researches on the moon to prove that fact. But we do believe that it happened.

Mohamed said...

There is another important thing..

Proving if that incident happened or not has nothing to do with the core of the Islamic religion and its fundamentals. It's just a physical miracle that happened centuries ago. There maybe a physical evidence about it that we couldn't discover until now, and maybe not. It basically happened for the people of the Mecca to convince them. We, those who came more than 1400 years after, couldn't witness it. We may not have a physical evidence about it!!

We don't have a physical evidence that prophet Jesus could turn clay into doves by the help of God, neither we have a physical evidence that prophet Jesus could resurrect the dead people, but we Muslims believe that these incidents happened because we were told in Qur'an and by the prophet that they happened. And that's the same with the splitting of the moon, maybe we can't find a physical evidence about the splitting of the moon, but we Muslims believe that it happened because we were told about that in Qur'an and by the prophet.

On the other hand, when many prophets could make physical miracles by the help of God to convince their people, and these miracles were witnessed ONLY by their people, not by those who came after that.

But considering that Islam is the last message from the heavens to the earth, so what about the people who will come after the prophet of Islam and couldn't witness the physical miracles that he made by the help of God? How could we, those who came after the death of the prophet, know that this message came from God not just a well-made system fabricated by a human? Is there any evidence that we, people of today who didn't witness any physical miracles like the splitting of the moon, can touch to realize that Islamic message came from God? What could convince us that Islam is really a divine message? IS THERE ANY MIRACLE THAT WE CAN FEEL, TOUCH AND SEE?

Mohamed said...

Answering the important question that I ended my last comment with..

The prophet of Islam, Muhammad, was just like other prophets of God, he could make physical miracles by the help of God.. Water flooded from his fingers, moon was split into two parts, palm tree talked, a camel talked, etc. But all these physical miracles were witnessed ONLY by those who witnessed it. We who came centuries after couldn't witness them..

So, an important question must arise..
When Islam is supposed to be the last message, so how can the next generations who didn't witness the physical miracles be convinced about the divinity of that message?

Islam came by two kinds of miracles to convince non-believers about the divinity of the message;

The first kind is the physical miracles that would convince those who witnessed them. Such kind is limited by time, by their happening they aren't so powerful to convince those who didn't witness them. Others will hear narrations about these miracles from those who witnessed them. They may believe, and may not.

The other kind of miracles is not limited by time. It don't lost its power by the pass of time. It's the miracle that is made to convince everyone in every time, even after the death of the prophet, it's the timeless miracle of the Qur'an.

Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, is the miracle of the message of Islam to convince all those who have free minds by the divinity of that message.

It maybe hard to accept a book as a miracle, but Qur'an is different in everything.

Its language was so marvelous to be seen as something said or written by a human. Arabs of Arabian Peninsula, who were the most perfect poems, realized that Qur'an wasn't a poetry, but something different, something divine.

Another miraculous face of Qur'an is the Scientific one. Considering that Qur'an was revealed 14 centuries ago, when there were no modern qualified research tools, no microscopes, no telescopes, no space shuttles.. If we considered that fact, and we knew that in that book we were told about scientific facts that was only recently discovered, then we must realize that this book isn't written by a human, but instead it was revealed by God.

The Earth is round not flat, The mountains are like stakes, The feeling centers exist in the skin, Atom is not the smallest thing, Detailed description of man's creation inside his mother, Oxygen amount decreases when man go higher, We see only the places of the stars not stars themselves because of the lateness of their light to reach us, The extension of the Universe, The spinning of Earth and Sun,,
are all examples of the scientific miraculous of Qur'a. All these scientific facts were told in Qur'an more than 1400 years ago, and were only recently discovered by our scientists.

That's an obvious evidence that Qur'an wasn't written by the prophet, but instead it was revealed by God, the Creator, the Most Powerful and All-Knowing.

(Bukhari Volume 8, Book 82, Number 794)

Hello, Mohamed.

I've had a lot of time to think over what I might have done wrong in order for you to forbid my posting at your site and to delete my comments quoting your allah and its prophet.

If what I was saying was false or in error or just plain nonsense, that should have been easy to demonstrate. You could have left up my words and your refutations of them in order to shame me publicly into perpetuity.

But you didn't. Why not?

It's a little ironic, isn't it? I disallowed Underclassed's comments for gratuitously and undeservedly insulting Reb and for his virulent use of profanity-as-argumentation, but you ban me for . . . telling the truth?

What does that say about you, Mohamed? Your arguments? Your god? Your prophet?

I have a question about Muhammad the Physician: Since he prescribed drinking camel urine for medicinal purposes, do you also drink camel urine (when the climate doesn't suit you, that is. We mustn't take anything out-of-context!)?

If not, how can you defend him as the Perfect Man, as Allah's "beautiful pattern of conduct"?

If you do, will you argue that camel urine used to provide a health benefit, but that only Muslims, and not other civilizations, noticed?

Will you argue -- as you did for Muhammad's raping little, prepubescent Aisha beginning when she was only nine-years-old -- that that camel liked it?

Or will you argue that infidel science has yet to determine the salutary effects of that magic elixir?

As far as convincing proofs go, Jesus did not turn clay into doves; that is an apocryphal story, not historical fact (as in the canonical books).

But if He had, Jesus would not have needed "the help of God," as if He were not God Incarnate Himself, which is your implication, is it not?

Finally, since Christ spoke only the truth, committed no sin, healed the sick, raised the dead, died for the sins of the whole world (including you and me) -- and Himself resurrected and appeared to hundreds of eyewitnesses on many occasions over 40 days -- why do you not believe Him?

Instead you defend as "holy" Muhammad, who blasphemed the Living God you claim to worship, lied, stole, destroyed, enslaved, raped, mutilated, and slaughtered gratuitously. You defend all of it as "divine," going so far as to assert as scientific fact incidents that no one in the world ever witnessed.

What is it about Muhammad that convinces you to believe him? Is it the deceit? The genocide? The torture, The mutilation?

Is it his having assassinated poetesses while they nursed? His beheading prisoners of war? His murdering apostates?

Is it his anti-Semitism? His hatred for Christians? Animists? Hindus?

Is it the sex slaves? The rape?

Is it the Allah-ordained pedophilia that moves you so?

This is a geological impossibility. It would appear that only the faithful could see this.

Mohamed said...

Mr. reb,

Don't worry, I'll be patient.

But please read my comments carefully..

The talking camel, crying tree and splitting of the moon were miracles, just like the faith of Christians about Jesus to turn clay into doves and resurrect the dead.

Just try to ask any Christian friend about the miracles he believe in. He won't tell you about splitting the moon, but he will tell you about resurrection of the dead people, turning the clay into birds and turning water into wine.

Miracles are made to break laws of nature.

Any try to understand and find a scientific explanation for them will fail.

Mohamed continues to cite an apocryphal (fictional) account of dove-making in support of his fictional account of Allah the Moon-breaker.

Historical fact (the actual miracles of Christ) recorded in multiple eyewitness accounts attested to by those eyewitnesses under severe persecution, versus the fictions of a genocidal pedophile, whose brutality, unfortunately, has been witnessed -- and endured -- by countless millions (billions?) over 1400 years of jihad.

Mohamed can continue burying his head in the sand, but it won't change the truth.

By the way, what kind of "friend" expresses concern over a temporary illness, while at the same time advocating an ideology that not only aims to destroy all that his friend holds dear, but if believed, will destroy his friend's soul in hell?

But what can one expect from someone who advances Moon-splitting as a Reason to Believe, but ignores, defends, or deletes so many reasons not to believe, like "sacralized" blasphemy, mutilation, genocide, pedophilia, rape, and slavery?

Mr. reb,

I thought I can send my personal thoughts about Skepticism, and you can read them any time..

Few days ago, I was reading a conversation between a student of the famous Greek philosopher, Socrates and the student's father. The father asked the student;
-Your mother, Isn't she your mother?
*She is saying that.
-And what about me, ain't me your father?
*You say so.
-Then, how can you make sure that you're a son of me and of your mother?
*I can't make sure for now. I'll search that with Socrates.
-Is there any doubt that I'm your father?
-So, you aren't sure that I'm your father and that you're my son .. and that your mother isn't your mother?

That's an image of Skepticism!

I'm not saying that you're like him, but can you see what Skepticism would lead to. That's madness! He kept doubting (Skepticting) about everything that he started doubting that his parents are truly his parents! His Skepticism lead him to insanity. He reached to the level of absolute doubt in everything around him. He entered a circle of craziness that will never lead him to something.

My point is..

I don't personally believe in Skepticism, but I think that IF I would believe in it, I would use it just as a tool, .. a path to reach some target.

You know how I see Skepticism!
I see it as a river, if I jumped in the middle of the river, I must cross to one of its two riverbanks, that's where I would find stability and safety. But if I was crazy enough to keep in the middle of the river, it will end by one of the two possibilities; Crashing on the next waterfall, or Being lost in the sea.

Skepticism is not a target itself, but it's a road that must lead to a specific destination. A destination that is specified by the "Skepticer" himself. Choosing Skepticism to be the destination is just like choosing the river or the road to be the destination. It will lead to nothing. "Not" crossing the river, and "Staying" in the road, what's the point?!!! No Thing!

I just wanted to tell you my thoughts about Skepticism. I hope that satisfies you.

Amillennialist said...

Mohamed wrote: "I don't personally believe in Skepticism . . . ."

Considering that Mohamed believes that a blaspheming, genocidal, mutilating, raping, enslaving, camel-urine-drinking pedophile is the prophet of a god, perhaps some credulity is in order.

Since the title of this post is

then it seems only fitting to place emphasis and discuss direct quotes from the Old & New Testament, and the Qur'an. In doing so, first one person then another will bring up "miracles" to establish credibility and "proof" for that particular faith.
In Joshua 10:12-14 the Israeli general envoked the power of his god -

"O sun, stand still over Gibeon,
O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies...

The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day..."

Neither Joshua or Mohammad knew anything of our solar system, or planetary or lunar orbits when these claims were introduced. Zero!

Alleged miracles are plentiful in most ancient religions.

Are they really that necessary to build a broad-based societal majority? Am I required to publicly declare a belief in these allegorical stories to be acceptable with relatives, friends and the larger community? I think not.

Read Jefferson's 1st Amendment!

Amillennialist said...

"incredulity," actually.

A few thoughts on your last post, Reb.

It is wise to be skeptical.

Unlike Allah (and all other gods, in fact), YHWH's miracles were done in plain sight, in history; no secret Moon-splitting, midnight flights, nor "divine revelations" on the word of one, utterly-depraved criminal.

From a plain reading of the Joshua passage you note (an historical account not necessarily devoid of symbolic meaning; when you're the Author of the universe, you can have both), the day standing still was intended primarily to allow Israel to defeat its enemies.

On the other hand, YHWH's defeating Egypt when He delivered Israel from slavery there and their preservation during forty years of wandering were intended to show His power and mercy.

Christ's miracles too were intended as signs so that Israel (and we) would believe that He was (is) the Promised Messiah, but even those were considered by Him as secondary; His person and words should be enough:

Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."

Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?

The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves" (John 14:8-11).

Unlike Muhammad's self-serving fusion of the "religious" and the political, Christ made a careful distinction between the two.

Faith in Him has nothing to do with societal majorities or being acceptable to friends, neighbors, or countrymen.

Jesus came to make us sinners acceptable to God. He came to bear our sins and be our Savior, to reconcile us to His Father in His body on the cross.

Christ does not demand that anyone believe, "Because I said so," or, "Believe, or else!" He proved His power and love over and over again in public, in front of the whole world, in full view of multiple eyewitnesses (including hostile ones), in history.

As He did with Unbelieving (not "Doubting") Thomas -- who would not believe in the Resurrected Christ unless he saw and touched His wounds -- so Jesus does with us:

Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord."

But he said to them, "Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe."

Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe."

Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"

Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:24-31).

Another account comes to mind which shows also the compassion of this God (for a woman with neither husband nor son was in dire straits in that time and place):

Soon afterward he [Jesus] went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him.

As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep."

Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, "Young man, I say to you, arise."

And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother" (Luke 7:11-15).

Contrary to what many Christians will teach (whether they realize it or not), we can do nothing to please God or earn His favor. We cannot "make a decision for Christ," or "open our hearts to the Lord," or "give our lives over to Jesus."

He comes to us sinners who are spiritually dead and gives us new life. He forgives our sins and gives us faith.

Here's an account of another event also from the physician Luke (another analytical mind!) in which rests a startling and profound fact which I discovered only recently when looking at the original Greek.

Christ approaches Jerusalem at the beginning of Passion Week, sees the city, and weeps for it.

He weeps for those who were about to reject and murder Him, the Author of Life. He weeps for those who would perish in unbelief, for they "did not know the hour of [their] visitation":

And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, saying, "Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation" (Luke 19:41-44).

The word here translated "wept" means "to wail aloud."

The Son of God wailed aloud for those who were about to reject and murder Him.

And then He died for their sins.

And ours.

We can never be good enough, or smart enough, or try hard enough to merit God's favor. He gives us that in His Son.

Our salvation does not depend on us. It depends on Christ alone. The only solution for us wretched sinners is the forgiveness of sins given freely to us in Christ.

And He gives us that forgiveness, fully and freely!

I wonder of that odd logic..

From one side, Islam is a religion, texts and orders, it's not a man that do actions to judge him through his actions, but instead a religion that must be understood through its texts. Judging a man, and judging a religion are different things. Judge a man through his deeds, judge a religion through its texts and orders.

On the other side, if I followed that odd logic then Christianity is a blood-thirsty religion. Christians killed in the Crusade wars, hundreds of thousands of Muslims in their way to "free" Jerusalem, plus 70.000 of Muslims ONLY IN A WEEK. Is that an understanding by actions, not words? (Love your enemies!!)
If I followed it, then Judaism is a terrorism religion. Zionists bombed tens of markets, trains, buses, camps, cinemas, etc in Palestine during the period of 1930's before the declaration of the entity of Israel over Palestine. Is that an understanding by ACTIONS, not words?
If I followed it, then American government is against human rights. Just look at Guantanamo prison, how they torture humans there! Is that an understanding by ACTIONS, NOT WORDS?

Also, if you decided anyway to follow that "illogical" logic, then look by both of your eyes, not a half eye.
-According to Pew Research Center, 8 of every 9 Muslims say that suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilians can never be justified to defend Islam.
-According to American Fiqh Council, "Targeting civilians' life and property through suicide bombings or any other method of attack is HARAM – or FORBIDDEN."
-Try to google for names like; Moez Masoud and Amr Khaled, not Bin Laden and Zawahri.

Be Fair!

Unfortunately, Islam's actions all too often follow its "words."

Fourteen thousand terrorist attacks in service to Allah since 9/11 (and that figure includes only those documented in modern media; undoubtedly many more have occurred that did not make it to the public record).

Fourteen hundred years of the rape, slavery, and slaughter of non-Muslims, apostates, women, and little girls around the world in obedience to Allah's commands and Muhammad's example:

"kill the pagans wherever you find them . . . Fight against . . . the People of the Book until they feel themselves subdued and pay the poll tax . . ." (Qur'an 9), and "I have been made victorious with terror" (Sahih Bukhari).

Islam's got "words."

Words straight from hell.

It's odd. Mohamed can quote Christ's command to love one's enemies, and though he knows full well Muhammad's barbarous and bloody dictums and acts, he follows . . . Muhammad.

What about a genocidal, camel-urine-drinking, pedophile screams out "prophet of god!" to you?

Odd logic? No. Reality? Yes. Judging Islam by its actions is valid, and your attempt to invalidate that concept is just a weak propaganda technique. Children might believe it, but I don’t. I reject that phony claim.

Islam’s actions speak louder than your false words, which are based on a false ideology.

Then you try to divert me from the reality of Islamic terror by telling me to go and a wild goose chase by googling people who lie just like you lie. Again, try your not-so-clever propaganda on children.

Hardline Pakistani religious students on a crusade against vice kidnapped nine people, including six Chinese women, and accused them of running a brothel. The nine were released after about 17 hours.
The abductions were the most provocative action undertaken by Taliban-supporting students associated with Islamabad's Lal Masjid, or Red Mosque, to press various Islamist demands.

Two Kurdish separatists have rammed an oil-filled truck into a police station in eastern Turkey in a suicide attack, army sources said.
After the explosion, the station was attacked by other members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and the army responded with an operation supported from the air, the sources said.

A Yemeni security guard at a US-run oil installation in Yemen opened fire on colleagues, killing an Indian engineer and wounding five others, a security source said.
Two British workers, one American and two Yemeni pilots were hurt when Jamil Mohammed al-Raai began firing indiscriminately at the installation run by US oil and gas firm Occidental Petroleum Corp in Shabwa, the source said.
Raai was seized by Yemeni security forces. Preliminary investigations showed he was suffering from psychological problems, the source added.

A Sudanese journalist and another newspaper employee have been arrested without explanation by authorities, prompting reporters to file a petition to the constitutional court to protest against their detention.
Three days ago authorities freed four journalists held for a week for trying to report on violent protests against the construction of a new dam in the Kajbar area in north Sudan. Five other people, including three lawyers are still being held.

Australia's top Shia Muslim cleric has said he supports the Hezbollah militant group and attacked the Australian government for "defending terrorism" because of its support for Israel.
Kamal Mousselmani, head of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council of Australia, told the Weekend Australian newspaper in an interview published on Saturday that Australia was encouraging people to "kill our people daily"

Clashes intensified between the Lebanese army and Islamist fighters who had retreated into the heart of a Palestinian refugee camp after troops captured all their outlying positions.

How many Coptic Christians have Muslims killed in Egypt this year?

Muslim Brotherhood founder, Hassan al-Bana, collaborated with the Nazis during WWII.

Ayman al-Zawahiri belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood and was involved with the killing of Sadat.

“Mohammed Bouyeri, 27, said he acted out of his religious beliefs and that he would do "exactly the same" if he were ever set free. Prosecutors say Mr Bouyeri killed Mr Van Gogh in a ritualistic murder committed in the name of radical Islam.”

“Man beheaded in Thailand teashop… The Thai south has been hit by violence since suspected Muslim separatists launched an insurgency 18 months ago.”

Slogan of the Muslims Brotherhood:

"Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

“The strategic adoption of the Palestinian cause has made it difficult for peaceful Arabs and Muslims to attack terrorist organizations such as Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and HAMAS. The fact is the real aim of organizations such as Al-Qaeda, HAMAS, Hezbollah and countries such as Iran is not just the “liberation of Palestine ” but the creation of a fundamentalist Muslim empire made up of every Muslim nation.” Nawash, Kamal. Israel/Palestine and Terrorism

Citing events from hundreds of years ago to justify contemporary Islamic terrorism is pathetic.

D- for you pitiable efforts.

This is an example of Sharia Law.

The dusty streets of Kismayo in Somalia echoed to the sound of a vehicle with loudspeakers summoning residents to a new form of public "entertainment" earlier this month.
People were being invited to see a man have his hand chopped off in a public park in the city.
The young man, Mohamed Omar Ismail, had been found guilty of stealing goods from another man's house.
That afternoon, hundreds of local people flocked to Freedom Park in order to see the amputation.
After a long wait, Mr Ismail was brought out in front of the people and an official started to read out the court decision from a piece of paper.
Clothes theft
"The Islamic Sharia court of Kismayo district confirms that Mohamed Omar Ismail has been found guilty of stealing," the official announced.
"Mr Ismail stole 10 pairs of trousers, 10 shirts, eight other items and a bag. The value of all the items is estimated to be $90."

The official quoted a chapter from the Koran known as Surah Maida, verse 38, which is about stealing and relevant punishment.
He said that the verse decreed that punishment for stealing was that the right hand of the thief should be cut off.
Mr Ismail insists he did not commit the burglary for which he lost his hand.

Just Another Small Sample Of Pure Evil, Portrayed On Every Continent.

This minor thief's experience with ugly Shari'a Law should resonate with every single straight-thinking, educated man & woman on this planet.

Girls school attacked in Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan – Suspected Islamist militants blew up a girls school close to the main city in northwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, police said.

The school on the outskirts of the Peshawar was empty when the explosion took place, police officer Hamdullah Khan said.

Officers believe a timed explosive device caused the blast, which badly damaged the building, he said.

Islamist militants in Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan have often targeted girls' schools because they believe that women should not be educated.

Muslim men fear women.

Mohamed - An ethical question:

Is there anything in the Holy Qur'an that deals with reprobate (evil) people, especially non-believers, that attempt to cooperate with honorable muslims?

This morning, NPR discussed how the "intellectuals" would no longer engage with the Muslim head of the Islamic State of Iran (That's the one supplying arms to insurgents in Afghanistan, hanging homosexuals, oppressing women and free speech...oh, I forgot; that's all Islamic states.), on coming to the realization that speaking with Ahmadinehad is the same as talking to a wall.

What took them so long to realize this? As all Muslims do, he just keeps trying to push his agenda: the imposition of Sharia Law on the world.

That is all any Muslims do.

Sharia Law violate civil law, and never the twain shall meet.

United Nations General Assembly, Sept 23, 2009
Barack Obama's Great Words (Summarized):

"The future will be forged by deeds, not words."

Followed by the muslim dictator, Moammar Qa-daffi: He insisted, in a long, disjointed speech, the notion that all nations, large and small, should be given equal representation.

Realistic Analysis:

The majority of these diplomats, after weighing all of the historic evidences, must come to the realization of these pertinent facts:

There has been a long and grim series of continuing wars throuhout man's struggles for the basic freedoms and independence from brutal domination, including Freedom of, and also from...Religions.

In line with those basics, it is necessary to take a hard look at one very aggressive and unchanging set of "holy" values from their own Islamic scriptures:

a) Qur'an 9:5 - The Verse of the Sword: "Slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war..."

This verse opens up the entire non-Muslim world to Islamic conquest, making them targets for either conversion, enslavement or death.
All Muslims are NOT ordered to kill
all non-believers; just the ones who resist!

b) If anyone dare to change the Islamic religion..."then kill him" Bukhari Volumn 9, Book 84, number 57.

c) Also, "Fight those who believe not in Allah...nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if the are of the 'People of the Book' until they pay the Jizya (tax), with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." Qur'an 9:29

--- Conclusion:

In the 21st Century, high technology has given mankind the ability to advance, or to spiral down to total self-destruction.

One Second After...

The detonation of the next nuclear
device, aimed at any nation, large or small, will signal a return to the stone-age...for the remaining few places on this planet where life might still exist.

Mere words will, at that critical moment, be irrelevant. reb

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

"A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property -- either as a child, a wife, or a concubine -- must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

"Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science -- the science against which it had vainly struggled -- the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."

Winston Churchill, The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50, 1899

The connection with Chavez and Ahmadinejad proves interesting. Socialistic, corrupt Russia engages both these hateful ideologues with glee, while watching the feckless, indecisive, always changing his mind: Slowbama, who laments, "Oh where's that teleprompter with my speech? I pray I say the same words today, that everyone recorded--yesterday."
The numerous, constantly changing attempts at persuasion that show his confusion, can only lead to one conclusion. He will go down in history, as even worse than his anti-Semitic, anti-American precedent: Carter.

All these tyrants smell the cowardice emanating from the Democrats, who run from the necessary fight claiming, "If we're just nice to these murderers, they will not kill--we. For we can live in harmony: BULL."
What fools they are to ignore the track record of the left: murder, kill, maim, and theft. Kill opponents til none are left.
