Einstein to Roosevelt,
August 2, 1939

In the summer of 1939, six months after the discovery of uranium fission, American newspapers and magazines openly discussed the prospect of atomic energy.

However, most American physicists doubted that atomic energy or atomic bombs were realistic possibilities. No official U.S. atomic energy project existed. Leo Szilard was profoundly disturbed by the lack of American action.

If atomic bombs were possible, as he believed they were, Nazi Germany might gain an unbeatable lead in developing them. It was especially troubling that Germany had stopped the sale of uranium ore from occupied Czechoslovakia.

Unable to find official support, and unable to convince Enrico Fermi of the need to continue experiments, Szilard turned to his old friend Albert Einstein...

Einstein was enjoying a sailing vacation in Peconic on the northern tip of Long Island, New York. On or about July 12, Szilard and fellow Hungarian physicist Eugene Wigner made the short drive from Manhattan in Wigner's car.

Einstein, true to his simple tastes, greeted his visitors wearing an undershirt and rumpled, rolled-up pants. He showed them to his cabin's large, screened-in porch.

Szilard explained the state of international research on uranium and the evidence that a bomb might be possible. Given the seriousness of the situation, Szilard's request was quite modest. He asked if Einstein would warn the Belgian Queen Mother, whom he knew, to prevent the large stockpile of uranium ore in the Belgian Congo from falling into Nazi hands.

Einstein agreed to the idea, but he preferred to write to another friend, the Belgian ambassador. Einstein dictated a letter in German, which Wigner took down.

Within days, however, the plan became much more far-reaching when Szilard discussed the matter with economist Alexander Sachs. Sachs, who was an unofficial adviser to President Franklin Roosevelt, urged that Einstein should write directly to the President. If Einstein wrote such a letter, Sachs promised to deliver it to the President personally.

If they could gain the ear of the President, the Belgian uranium ore became a minor issue. Szilard produced a four-page draft letter, which he mailed to Einstein on July 19. By telephone, Einstein asked to discuss it with Szilard in person.

In the last days of July, Szilard returned to Einstein's vacation cabin. Because Wigner was out of town, Hungarian physicist Edward Teller acted as Szilard's chauffeur. Einstein again greeted his guests informally, wearing old clothes and slippers. He served them tea on the shady porch while they discussed the new approach.

Einstein was willing to write to the President. As a life-long pacifist, he opposed the making of weapons, but he could not allow the Nazis sole possession of such destructive power. His only objection was that Szilard's letter was long and somewhat awkward.

He preferred a shorter message stressing the main points. Einstein dictated a short draft in German which Szilard took down.

Over the next few days, Szilard translated Einstein's dictation, going through draft after draft. In the end, he prepared both a short and a long version. On August 2, he mailed them to Einstein. Einstein returned both versions signed, but he expressed a preference for the longer version. This was the version, dated August 2, that Szilard gave to Sachs for delivery to the President.

Einstein's letter did not reach the President quickly, however, nor did it have much effect. On September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland and World War II began. Sachs finally met with the President on October 11 and presented Einstein's letter. The President appointed a "Uranium Committee," but it approved only $6,000 to buy graphite and uranium for experiments Szilard proposed.

For the next two years, official skepticism continued to stall U.S. research efforts. A large-scale U.S. atomic project did not begin until December 6, 1941, one day before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It became the "Manhattan" Project in August 1942.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam.

Senator Markey has announced his support for the Iran deal that will let the terrorist regime inspect its own Parchin nuclear weapons research site, conduct uranium enrichment, build advanced centrifuges, buy ballistic missiles, fund terrorism and have a near zero breakout time to a nuclear bomb.

There was no surprise there.

Markey had topped the list of candidates supported by the Iran Lobby. And the Iranian American Political Action Committee (IAPAC) had maxed out its contributions to his campaign.

After more fake suspense, Al Franken, another IAPAC backed politician who also benefited from Iran Lobby money, came out for the nuke sellout.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen, the Iran Lobby’s third Dem senator, didn’t bother playing coy like her colleagues. She came out for the deal a while back even though she only got half the IAPAC cash that Franken and Markey received.

As did Senator Gillibrand, who had benefited from IAPAC money back when she first ran for senator and whose position on the deal should have come as no surprise.

The Iran Lobby had even tried, and failed, to turn Arizona Republican Jeff Flake. Iran Lobby cash had made the White House count on him as the Republican who would flip, but Flake came out against the deal. The Iran Lobby invested a good deal of time and money into Schumer, but that effort also failed.

Still these donations were only the tip of the Iran Lobby iceberg.

Gillibrand had also picked up money from the Iran Lobby’s Hassan Nemazee. Namazee was Hillary’s national campaign finance director who had raised a fortune for both her and Kerry before pleading guilty to a fraud scheme encompassing hundreds of millions of dollars. Nemazee had been an IAPAC trustee and had helped set up the organization.

Bill Clinton had nominated Hassan Nemazee as the US ambassador to Argentina when he had only been a citizen for two years. A spoilsport Senate didn’t allow Clinton to make a member of the Iran Lobby into a US ambassador, but Nemazee remained a steady presence on the Dem fundraising circuit.

Nemazee had donated to Gillibrand and had also kicked in money to help the Franken Recount Fund scour all the cemeteries for freshly dead votes, as well as to Barbara Boxer, who also came out for the Iran nuke deal. Boxer had also received money more directly from IAPAC.

In the House, the Democratic recipients of IAPAC money came out for the deal. Mike Honda, one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Iran Lobby backed the nuke sellout. As did Andre Carson, Gerry Connolly, Donna Edwards and Jackie Speier. The Iran Lobby was certainly getting its money’s worth.

But the Iran Lobby’s biggest wins weren’t Markey or Shaheen. The real victory had come long before when two of their biggest politicians, Joe Biden and John Kerry, had moved into prime positions in the administration. Not only IAPAC, but key Iran Lobby figures had been major donors to both men.

That list includes Housang Amirahmadi, the founder of the American Iranian Council, who had spoken of a campaign to “conquer Obama’s heart and mind” and had described himself as “the Iranian lobby in the United States.” It includes the Iranian Muslim Association of North America (IMAN) board members who had fundraised for Biden. And it includes the aforementioned Hassan Nemazee.

A member of Iran’s opposition had accused Biden’s campaigns of being “financed by Islamic charities of the Iranian regime based in California and by the Silicon Iran network.” Biden’s affinity for the terrorist regime in Tehran was so extreme that after 9/11 he had suggested, “Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran”.

Appeasement inflation has since raised that $200 million to at least $50 billion. But there are still no strings worth mentioning attached to the big check.

Questions about donations from the Iran Lobby had haunted Kerry’s campaign. Back then Kerry had been accused of supporting an agreement favorable to Iran. The parameters of that controversial proposal however were less generous than the one that Obama and Kerry are trying to sell now.

The hypothetical debates over the influence of the Iran Lobby have come to a very real conclusion.

Both of Obama’s secretaries of state were involved in Iran Lobby cash controversies, as was his vice president and his former secretary of defense. Obama was also the beneficiary of sizable donations from the Iran Lobby. Akbar Ghahary, the former co-founder of IAPAC, had donated and raised some $50,000 for Obama.

It’s an unprecedented track record that has received very little notice. While the so-called “Israel Lobby” is constantly scrutinized, the fact that key foreign policy positions under Obama are controlled by political figures with troubling ties to an enemy of this country has gone mostly unreported by the mainstream media.

This culture of silence allowed the Iran Lobby to get away with taking out a full-page ad in the New York Times before the Netanyahu speech asking, “Will Congress side with our President or a Foreign Leader?”

Iran’s stooges had taken a break from lobbying for ballistic missiles to play American patriots.

Obama and his allies, Iranian and domestic, have accused opponents of his dirty Iran deal of making “common cause” with that same terror regime and of treason. The ugly truth is that he and his political accomplices were the traitors all along.

Democrats in favor of a deal that will let a terrorist regime go nuclear have taken money from lobbies for that regime. They have broken their oath by taking bribes from a regime whose leaders chant, “Death to America”. Their pretense of examining the deal is nothing more than a hollow charade.

This deal has come down from Iran Lobby influenced politicians like Kerry and is being waved through by members of Congress who have taken money from the Iran Lobby. That is treason plain and simple.

Despite what we are told about its “moderate” leaders, Iran considers itself to be in a state of war with us. Iran and its agents have repeatedly carried out attacks against American soldiers, abducted and tortured to death American officials and have even engaged in attacks on American naval vessels.

Aiding an enemy state in developing nuclear weapons is the worst form of treason imaginable. Helping put weapons of mass destruction in the hands of terrorists is the gravest of crimes.

The Democrats who have approved this deal are turning their party into a party of atom bomb spies.

Those politicians who have taken money from the Iran Lobby and are signing off on a deal that will let Iran go nuclear have engaged in the worst form of treason and committed the gravest of crimes. They must know that they will be held accountable. That when Iran detonates its first bomb, their names will be on it.

U.S. Worldwide Travel Alert

The State Department issued a worldwide travel alert Monday over possible risks due to increased terrorism threats.

The alert comes amid information that ISIS, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, and other terrorist groups continue to plan attacks in multiple regions by employing a “wide variety of tactics,” according to the State Department.

Authorities believe the likelihood of terror attacks will continue as members of ISIS return from Iraq and Syria, as well as the threat from “unaffiliated persons” planning attacks inspired by major terrorist organizations.

The State Department said that U.S. citizens should “exercise vigilance when in public places or using transportation” and “avoid large crowds or crowded places.”

Americans are also urged to exercise particular caution during the holiday season, and at holiday festivals or events. The worldwide travel alert expires on Feb. 24, 2016.

The alert was issued after multiple attacks in the past year in France, Nigeria, Denmark, Turkey and Mali in the past year, as well as the bombing of a Russian airliner in Egypt, for which ISIS has claimed responsibility.

The State Department said that U.S. citizens should factor updated information into personal travel plans, and urges anyone with specific safety concerns to contact local law enforcement authorities.

A State Department official told Fox News that worldwide alerts “are issued periodically when there is a higher threat level," and are not the same as a warning tied to a particular event, like an election or hurricane.

“We want folks to still travel, but just to exercise greater vigilance,” the official said.

But despite the label “worldwide,” the alerts do not cover the territory of the United States itself.

The travel alert was issued the same day that Belgium's prime minister announced that Brussels would remain at the highest alert level for at least another week.

The increased security measures following the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris that killed 130 people have virtually shut down the Belgian capital.

There have been a total of six worldwide travel alerts in the last four-and-a-half years.

Fox News' James Rosen and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

>We Were Warned (in 1899)

by Winston Churchill

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity.

The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.

Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."

Sir Winston Churchill; (Source: The River War, first edition, Vol II, pages 248-250 London).

'Jews In the Land of Make Believe' - one

Some of us will never "get it." In the wake of the Paris massacre, many Israelis and other Jews are calling on the civilized West to adopt a new meme, "We are all Israel now." Sorry friends, but it will never catch on. Kumbaya is the official anthem of the "peace makers," but Hatikvah will never make it into the songbook.

Jews may long to be one of the boys, but history has other ideas. After the flowers dry in front of the Bataclan theater, the memorial candles go out all over Paris, and the World Trade Center’s red, white and blue lights are extinguished in NYC, the "international community" - including France - will revert to type and go back to their psychotic obsession with Jews and Israel. After a short timeout (if that) they will turn their attention back to the stuff that really matters: Jewish building in Jerusalem and boycotting oranges grown in Israel.

Yet, there is this irony. The Muslims will always keep silly daydreamers honest - either at the point of a knife or the tip of a Muslim H-Bomb. Heck, they haven’t let us down in 1400 years! The only question is, are 130 dead in Paris going to be enough to convince us who the real enemy is and who’s trying to destroy our way of life? If not, the religion of peace will be glad to oblige with an endless supply of cadavers – both Jews and gentiles.

Why Do Working Americans Support Job-Killing Democrats?

By Star Parker
After years of review, President Obama has killed the Keystone XL pipeline project. The pipeline would have moved crude oil from Western Canada to Nebraska, where it would have connected to existing pipelines and moved the oil to refineries at the U.S. Gulf Coast.

The exact number of jobs that the project would have created was disputed, but a reasonable estimate seems to be several thousand jobs. These would have been largely blue-collar jobs, which is why labor unions, usually a constituency that a Democratic president seeks to please, supported the project.

But another Democratic constituency, the environmental lobby, opposed the project, and they won the day with our president. { BOLD }

Immediately after the president killed the project, the three Democrat presidential contenders — Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley — endorsed the president’s decision.

Looking at the rationale the president used to justify his politically motivated decision to kill this pipeline project raises the question, “Why do so many working-class Americans, and in particular low-income Americans, continue to support big-government Democrats, who are more interested in their left-wing agendas than creating jobs and prosperity in America?”

Polls regularly show the economy and jobs at the top of the concerns of Americans. And on that front, this president has been a particular disaster.

But you wouldn’t know it listening to his justification for killing this project.

“The pipeline would not make a meaningful long-term contribution to our economy,” said the president. He then continued on to describe how the economy has supposedly thrived under his watch.

“Our businesses created 268,000 new jobs last month. They’ve created 13.5 million new jobs over the past 68 months — the longest streak on record. The unemployment rate fell to 5 percent.”

We must wonder if President Obama knows better or if he actually believes this deceptive and distorted picture about what is going on with our economy.

We are experiencing one of the most sluggish economic recoveries in history.

In a paper submitted for the Focusing the Presidential Debates Project, Hoover Institution economist John Cochrane points out, “sclerotic growth is the overriding economic issue of our time.”

Cochrane notes, “from 1950 to 2000 the US economy grew at an average rate of 3.5 percent per year. … From the bottom of the great recession in 2009, usually a time of super-fast catch-up growth, it has only grown at two percent per year.”

What does this mean in terms of jobs?

In contrast to the 13.5 million jobs created over the last 68 months that President Obama brags about, Ed Lazear, a Stanford economist and former chairman of President George W. Bush’s council of economic advisers, notes that if the economy had grown sufficiently fast to “make up for the recession and keep pace with growing population” it would have created 17.5 million jobs.

In other words, there are 4 million fewer jobs today than there would have been had the economic recovery been sufficiently robust to make up for the losses caused by the recession.

Why is this recovery so poor? Because this recent pipeline decision characterizes all the economic decision-making that has been taking place over the last seven years.

It’s all about government, political power and interests rather than allowing what drove the 3.5 percent economic growth from 1950 to 2000 — free enterprise.

President and CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce Harry Alford recently spoke at the Port of New Orleans about the suffocation of business at the hands of the regulatory state.

According to Alford, “every year since 2009, federal agencies have piled on about $150 billion in new compliance costs.” He says the total impact of regulatory costs now exceed $2 trillion.

All working Americans must hear from Republicans that economic growth is our No. 1 priority. And free enterprise is the only way to do it.

By Marshall Frank

On the night of Oct. 20, shots were heard in the area of East Harlem. Cops responded. A suspect was confronted by officers. He had a gun. He fired, they fired. Randolph Holder, 33, died from a bullet in the head.

The shooting resulted in the death of a black man. Only, this black man was a five-year veteran of NYPD. Indeed, a black life who mattered.

Four cops have been murdered in just one police department – NYPD – in the last 11 months. Two were virtually ambushed. Thirteen others have been ambushed around the nation.

Four days after Randolph Holder was killed, “Black Lives Matter” anarchists took to the streets to protest all police officers. Ten months ago, a mob in New York chanted in streets, “What do we want? Dead Cops!” Those same hated cops made sure the streets were secured and marchers were protected. In April of 2015, Baltimore anarchists burned the city and destroyed property posing as “protesters.”

Where is this country going?

Cops – our protectors – were ordered to stand down as rocks and torches were hurled at them, sending dozens to the hospital. It seemed they were ordered there to be ridiculed.

Does the history matter that some of those career cops in New York, Baltimore and Ferguson had been given medals of valor for saving the lives of men, women and children when called to dire situations? Does it matter that these same cops risked their lives over and over, being dispatched to hundreds of calls to quell violence and/or protect innocent people from others?

Meanwhile, anarchists parade, scream, demean and promote hatred. And our leaders, including some mayors, politicians and even the White House do or say nothing to bring peace and truth to America.

The lightning rod cases cited by anarchists – Michael Brown in Ferguson; Eric Garner in Staten Island; Freddie Gray in Baltimore – each have a common thread: crime and thuggery.

Michael Brown strong-arm robbed a store and then attacked a cop in his car, trying to wrestle his gun away. The Attorney General determined the shooting was justified.

Career criminal Eric Garner baited police while a friend shot videos. He deliberately resisted arrest. Without weapons, they used minimal force needed to take down the 350 pound behemoth. No one knew that Garner suffered from serious asthma.

Freddie Gray had a long history of criminal activity. He suffered injuries in the police van, and we still don’t know how or why. Nevertheless, six cops were charged; three black.

Most puzzling is how some well-meaning people are so easily swayed to believe the propaganda. With goodness in their hearts, they stand up for minorities and no matter the evidence, they fall lock-step with protest programs without questioning validity. The fallout portends a dangerous future for law abiding people in our cities.

FBI Director, James Comey, recently spoke out in opposition to the president’s mantra. He said cops have told him they constantly feel taunted by youths with cell phones.

“In today’s YouTube world,” Comey said, “officers are reluctant to get out of their car.” He cited a renewed spike in violent crime, adding, “I do have a strong sense that some part of the explanation is a chill wind blowing through American law enforcement over the last year. And that wind is surely changing behavior.”

Of course, bad cops should be weeded out. So should bad politicians.

The constant denigration of police by “Black Lives Matter,” and the validation provided by media, is destined to spawn divisiveness, anarchy and hatred. All that will embolden more crime and give cause for average cops to tacitly withdraw in deference to protecting their own families and their futures. It’s getting personal.

Blue lives matter too.

An Ayatollah's Dream... End of America

Written by : Amir Taheri

The topic was at the center of a daylong seminar in Tehran last week attended by ambassadors from Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Venezuela, plus a number of Islamic Iranian officials and scholars.

The five Latin American nations with left-wing regimes represent one of the “clusters” that former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad tried to organize as points of anti-American “resistance” across the globe. Another “cluster” consisted of Lebanon, controlled through the local branch of Hezbollah, Syria, under Bashar Al-Assad, and parts of Iraq dominated by pro-Tehran armed groups. The plan was to set up another “cluster” by breaking up the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) bloc through the Finlandization of some of its members while seizing control of Yemen through local Trojan outfits.

Next month, Tehran is scheduled to host the fifth annual “End of America” conference with a number of professional anti-American figures from Europe and the US itself also expected.

However, the timing of the exercise is puzzling. For the first time in almost a decade, the presidency, and part of the government including the foreign ministry seem to be controlled by the so-called Rafsanjani faction that has been trying to make a deal with the Americans since the late 1980s.

Many in Tehran now wonder whether this year’s “End of America” will take place at all. A number of “Afro-American families of victims of US police brutality” have already been invited along with European religious leaders and scholars opposed to the “Great Satan.”

Some pro-Rafsanjani commentators in Tehran, including a few in the entourage of President Hassan Rouhani, argue against the holding of another “End of America” conference as unnecessary at best and wanton provocation at worst.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif argues that the US has shown its goodwill by bending backward to satisfy Iran’s demands in the nuclear negotiations. It would be foolish to provoke the US at a time that Tehran needs Washington’s support to destroy the edifice of sanctions and kick the whole nuclear saga into the long grass.

More than 30 years ago, Khomeini’s intransigence led to the destruction of Jimmy Carter’s presidency, depriving Iran of a friend in Washington. It would be foolish to repeat the same mistake by humiliating Obama and, through him the Democrat Party, thus helping the return to power of the Republicans who are committed to making life difficult for the Khomeinist regime.

Seen from Tehran the ideal outcome of next year’s presidential election in the United States would be the nomination and victory of either Vice President Joseph Biden or Secretary of State John Kerry. Both men have a history of decades of support for the Khomeinist revolution and the Islamic Republic and remain committed to promoting closer ties with Tehran under the mullahs.

Another four, or perhaps even eight years of Obama’s policies would nicely coincide with the duration of the Vienna nuke deal which envisages “a final closing of the dossier” by 2023 at the latest. Until then, Iran would be kept a year away from building a nuclear arsenal if it so decides. After that, Iran could do so within 60 days, again if it so wished.

More importantly, another eight years of Obama’s strategy would make it immensely difficult, if not impossible in practical terms, for any future US administration to revive the Pax Americana as a viable option. The Obama strategy is aimed at shrinking the American military footprint across the world. Dozens of bases are being closed down or reduced to merely symbolic proportions. Within what is left of Obama’s presidential term, the US army alone is scheduled to fire at least 40,000 of its soldiers. Under Obama the US has undergone the biggest cut in defense expenditure it has experienced since the heady days of post-Cold War and its “peace dividends”.

More importantly, perhaps, Obama has managed to sour, if not actually destroy, America’s old alliances in many parts of the world, notably the Middle East. Even an old and loyal ally such as Great Britain has publicly played the card of privileged ties with China, implicitly taking note of the American retreat.

Obama has changed the image of the US as “the winner” into the loser as borne out by a series of crises from the annexation of Georgian and Ukrainian territories by Moscow to the emergence of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and the resurgence of Taliban in Afghanistan, not to mention Tehran’s heightened profile in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.

Obama’s dramatic “red line” warning to Assad, followed by an equally dramatic consumption of humble pie, highlighted the United States’ new status as “the loser.”

The American global retreat has already led to a more emphatic assertion by China of its position as a great Asian power. It has also encouraged the nationalist trend in Japan to the point of seeking constitutional change to allow the nation to deploy troops abroad and, later perhaps, even develop a nuclear arsenal.

Latin America is divided into two rival blocs of left and right powers, with the US less and less regarded as a major player.

In Europe and central Asia, Russia is moving fast to regain part of lost influence and project power wherever it can. Many of the local conflicts mothballed thanks to US mediation are becoming active again, from Transcaucasia to the Indo-Pakistani Subcontinent.

The Israel-Palestine conflict is exploding in the void created by the total collapse of US-backed “peace talks.”

Ending Pax Americana may turn out to be good for the Americans in which case Obama could enter history as a wise visionary.

However, even if such is the case, the mullahs have every interest to encourage Obama in his present strategy and, within their modest means, to help the Obama line continue under Kerry or, even Hillary Clinton as the least bad option.

Many might see the “End of America” world as a far more dangerous place. The mullahs, however, would regard it as the fulfilment of Khomeini’s dream.

This Op-Ed appears in Florida Today, this date.

We need gun control about as much as we need car control. Both are deadly instruments, but the current threshold for accountability is far different for one than the other.

When we buy or sell an automobile, it requires a title, registration, tag and insurance. When we buy or sell a firearm, none of this applies. I can sell my pistol at a yard sale where there is no way to trace ownership. Dealers, however, must conduct background checks, only because they are licensed retailers. Forty percent of hand guns are not purchased from licensed dealers.

Fact: None of the recent mass shootings would have been deterred by more gun control legislation. But they could have been abated with better laws dealing with mental illness.

Private gun sales are legal, requiring no background checks. Most guns used in violent crime are stolen in burglaries or they are bought on the black market, none of which pertains to licensed dealers or gun show loopholes. The emphasis on background checks is misleading, because they only disapprove buyers who have established a police record. Criminals often pay someone else with no record to purchase a gun on their behalf.

In several mass shootings, the killers bought no guns at all. They took them from households where they were legally owned.

Most mass killings of recent years were committed by first-time offenders who can pass background checks despite suffering from serious psychosis. There is no data bank for mentally ill people, unless they have been confined by the justice system to an institution. Crazy people like the shooter in an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater or at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, were known to be mentally unstable by friends and family, but there was nothing they could do until a tragedy happened.

A U.S. Supreme Court decision in 1975 (O’Connor v. Donaldson) ruled that mental institutions could not hold sick people against their will. This eventually led to emptying 90 percent of patients from mental hospitals. Treatment was replaced with drugs like Thorazine, or with jail cells after they committed a crime. Prisons are now the default entity for treating violently ill people, which is no treatment at all.

President Obama and his supporters are predictably fast to blame the need for more gun control when mass shootings occur, as though it’s the end-all solution, which is untrue. Before the bodies are autopsied and investigations are still pending, the omniscient president passes judgment on the cause of these crimes. His focus is erroneous. Cars don’t kill people, drivers kill people. Guns and knives don’t kill, people do. We must do something about dangerous people who are prone toward irresponsibility or violence, regardless of what instrument they use.

As a former law enforcement officer, I agree that greater accountability (not “control”) is needed in the firearms industry. That’s so law enforcement can sink its teeth into criminal investigations. When the police nab street thugs in possession of firearms, there is no way to determine how or when they were bought, sold or stolen, or the owner’s identity. If titles and registrations were required for all gun sales, along with insurance, we would have an accountability factor for every gun recovered in criminal investigations, or those possessed by criminals. Meanwhile, people could still purchase and own, in accordance with the Second Amendment.

The crux of the problem is mental health, which is where the focus should be. But politicians avoid the obvious it because it’s intangible and more complicated. Our mental health systems and services are virtually defunct in a country with 310 million people. When friends, family members and teachers are astutely aware that a person is walking around out of touch from reality, we should have means by which to isolate, evaluate and treat to prevent disasters before they happen. We owe it to future victims.

Stressing gun control is a worn-out broken record. Let’s think outside the box.

Bill Ayers Weather Underground,
Then and now...

The Weather Underground.

Before There Was ISIS, There Was the Weather Underground.

Like the radical left-wing domestic terrorists befriended two decades ago by Barack Hussein Obama, the totalitarian mass murderers of the Islamic State are reportedly determined to kill millions of Americans. Slaughtering Americans by the millions was a key objective of the Weather Underground Organization (WUO), which was led during the Vietnam War era by Obama's close Chicagoland friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers, among other individuals. Ayers described the Weatherman philosophy as "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at."

He was delighted in the 1980s when riot incitement and conspiracy charges against him were thrown out. "Guilty as sin, free as a bird," Ayers gloated. "America is a great country," he said for the first and only time in his life. Obama infamously began his career in electoral politics at a fundraiser in 1995 in the home of the unrepentant small-c communist terrorist bomber Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn, another former WUO leader.

The Weather Underground plan was ambitious – 25 million Americans deemed unsusceptible to communist brainwashing were to be liquidated – but relatively modest compared to the 500 million souls in the Western world that Islamic State aims to vaporize with nuclear weapons.

German journalist Jürgen Todenhöfer, who spent 10 anxious days living in Islamic State-held Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor in Syria with the jihadists, wants the world to know that the terrorist group is deadly serious about unleashing a "nuclear tsunami" on those who oppose its efforts to create an Islamic caliphate. According to Todenhöfer, a 75-year-old Christian and pacifist, "[t]his is the largest religious cleansing strategy that has ever been planned in human history."

"Not just head-cutting. I'm talking about the strategy of religious cleansing. That's their official philosophy. They are talking about 500 million people who have to die."

Islamic State "fighters are much smarter and more dangerous than our leaders believe. In the Islamic State, there is an almost palpable enthusiasm and confidence of victory, which I have not seen in many war zones."

To date, the West remains clueless as to how this threat is to be addressed.

Islamic State warriors are convinced that their totalitarian faith and demonstrative brutality will help them move mountains, and that their military victories justify their confidence. In congenital denial about the threat Islamic militancy poses to free nations, Obama said a year ago that "ISIL is not Islamic. No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL's victims have been Muslim."

Obama told the United Nations this week that the Islamic State can be vanquished with tough love and social programs. "Ideologies are not defeated with guns," the historically illiterate president told U.N. delegates. "They are defeated by better ideas – a more attractive and compelling vision."

Which brings us back to Obama buddy Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground.

In his 1976 book, Bringing Down America, Grathwohl summed up why he took the unusual step of joining the Weather Underground in order to undermine it. He feared that these New Left revolutionary communists might actually make headway with their totalitarian program.

"The Weathermen’s government will be one of total control over each individual in the society," he wrote. "In Weathermen terminology, this new society will be 'one people working in total unity.'" "This means an elimination of all the individual freedoms we are accustomed to having; it was my absolute belief in the freedoms offered by our form of government that drove me to fight the Weathermen in the first place."

Grathwohl attended a kind of Wannsee Conference at which Weather Underground operatives plotted the murder of 25 million Americans. At the Wannsee meeting in 1942, Hitler's cabinet members and senior bureaucrats set in motion the “Final solution to the Jewish question,” which led to the systematic murder of six million Jews.

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people most of which have graduate degrees from Columbia and other well known educational centers and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people and they were dead serious. In its heyday, WUO bombed the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol, and various other sites of national importance throughout the 1970s. One of its senior leaders, trust fund baby Bill Ayers, now portrayed by the media as an innocuous education reformer, told the New York Times in 2001 that he didn’t regret what he did and he’d likely do it again.

Ayers denies that the Weather Underground's Wannsee Conference ever happened and claims that the WUO never killed anyone. If that's true, it wasn't for lack of trying. One nail bomb that was supposed to be used to murder U.S. servicemen blew up in the Greenwich Village townhouse where it was being made.

In 1970, Ayers’ then-girlfriend Diana Oughton, along with Weatherman members Terry Robbins and Ted Gold, were killed when a bomb they were constructing exploded unexpectedly. That bomb had been intended for detonation at a dance that was to be attended by hundreds of Army soldiers at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Ayers himself attested that the bomb would have done serious damage, “tearing through windows and walls and, yes, people too.” Notably, Ayers' fingerprints were found at the bomb-making site, along with an assortment of anti-personnel weapons, stabbing implements, C-4 plastic explosive[s], and dozens of Marxist-Leninist publications.

The Weather Underground also reportedly tried to get its hands on weapons of mass destruction, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jack Anderson reported in his "Washington Merry-Go-Round" column in 1970 ("Weatherman Seeking BW Germs," Washington Post, Nov. 20, 1970).
When Obama was campaigning in 2008, commentator Andrew C. McCarthy ridiculed Ayers for claiming that the Weathermen never hurt or even tried to hurt anybody. These savages wanted to kill massively. That they killed only a few people owes to our luck and their incompetence, not design. They, and the Democrat politicians who now befriend and serve them can rationalize that all they want, but those are the facts.

Iran Marches, Russia rules, Obama Watches

WASHINGTON — Guess who just popped up in the Kremlin? Bashar al-Assad, Syrian dictator and destroyer, now Vladimir Putin’s newest pet. After four years holed up in Damascus, Assad was summoned to Russia to bend a knee to Putin, show the world that today Middle East questions get settled not in Washington but in Moscow, and officially bless the Russian-led four-nation takeover of Syria now underway
Does the bewildered Obama administration finally understand what Russia is up to?

President Obama says Russia is doomed to fail in the Syrian quagmire. But Russia is not trying to reconquer the country for Assad. It’s consolidating a rump Syrian state on the roughly 20 percent of the country he now controls, the Alawite areas stretching north and west from Damascus through Latakia and encompassing the Russian naval base at Tartus.

It’s a partition. It will leave the Islamic State in control in the interior north and east. Why is this doomed to failure?
Putin’s larger strategy is also obvious. He is not reconstructing the old Soviet empire. That’s too large a task. But he is rebuilding and reasserting Russia’s ability to project power beyond its borders. Annexing Crimea restores to the motherland full control of the warm water Black Sea port that Russia has coveted since Peter the Great.

Shoring up a rump Alawite state secures Russia’s naval and air bases in the eastern Mediterranean. Add to that Russia’s launching advanced cruise missiles from warships in the Caspian Sea to strike Syrian rebels 900 miles away and you have the most impressive display of Russian military reach since the Cold War.

For Obama, of course, these things don’t matter. “In today’s world,” he told the U.N. last month, “the measure of strength is no longer defined by the control of territory.” That he clearly believes this fantasy was demonstrated by his total abandonment of Iraq, forfeiting U.S. bases from which we could have projected power in the region (most notably preventing, through control of Iraqi airspace, the Iranian rearming and reinforcement of Assad’s weakening regime).

While Obama counts on the arc of the moral universe bending toward justice, Putin acts. As soon as the ink was dry on the Iran nuclear deal, Iran’s Qasem Soleimani flew to Moscow (a sanctions violation that we blithely ignored) to plan the multinational Syria campaign he is now directing. His Shiite expeditionary force is comprised of Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Iraqi Shiite militias and Lebanese Hezbollah fighting under the cover of Russian airpower.
They are pounding non-Islamic State rebels, many equipped, trained and allegedly supported by the U.S. and Obama’s vaunted 60-nation coalition. What a comfort to be pulverized by 60 to 90 Russian airstrikes each day but to know that Belgium is with you.

The immediate Russian objective is to retake Aleppo, the eastern part of which is the rebels’ last remaining urban stronghold.
Russia is not fighting the Islamic State. On the contrary. Its attacks on the anti-government, anti-Islamic State rebels have allowed the Islamic State to expand, capturing rebel-held villages north of Aleppo, even as the Shiite expeditionary force approaches from the south.

Apart from the wreckage to Obama’s dreams of a “reset” with Russia, think of how these advances mock Obama’s dreams for Iran, namely that the nuclear deal would moderate Iranian behavior.

What has happened since the signing of the deal in July? Iran convicts an American journalist of espionage, contemptuously refusing to offer even the most minimal humanitarian gesture. Iran brazenly tests a nuclear-capable ballistic missile that our own U.N. ambassador said violates Security Council resolutions. And now Iran’s most notorious Revolutionary Guard commander takes control of a pan-Shiite army trying to decimate our remaining allies in the Syrian civil war.

Obama’s response to all this? Nothing. He has washed his hands of the region, still the center of world oil production and trade, and still the world’s most volatile region, seething with virulent jihadism ready for export. When you call something a quagmire you have told the world that you’re out and staying out. Russia and Iran will have their way.

“60 Minutes” asked Obama: Are you concerned about yielding leadership to Russia? Obama responded dismissively: Propping up a weak ally is not leadership. I’m leading the world on climate change.

Upon hearing that, anyone in any conflict anywhere who has put his trust in the United States should start packing his bags for Germany.

A message to the world

U.S. May Be Next To Feel This Migrant Impact.

Yesterday, at the hospital we had a meeting about how the situation here and at the other Munich hospitals is unsustainable. Clinics cannot handle emergencies, so they are starting to send everything to the hospitals.

Many Muslims are refusing treatment by female staff and, we, women, are refusing to go among those animals, especially from Africa. Relations between the staff and migrants are going from bad to worse. Since last weekend, migrants going to the hospitals must be accompanied by police with K-9 units.

Many migrants have AIDS, syphilis, open TB and many exotic diseases that we, in Europe, do not know how to treat them. If they receive a prescription in the pharmacy, they learn they have to pay cash. This leads to unbelievable outbursts, especially when it is about drugs for the children. They abandon the children with pharmacy staff with the words: “So, cure them here yourselves!” So the police are not just guarding the clinics and hospitals, but also large pharmacies.

Truly we said openly: Where are all those who had welcomed in front of TV cameras, with signs at train stations?! Yes, for now, the border has been closed, but a million of them are already here and we will definitely not be able to get rid of them.

Until now, the number of unemployed in Germany was 2.2 million. Now it will be at least 3.5 million. Most of these people are completely unemployable. A bare minimum of them have any education. What is more, their women usually do not work at all. I estimate that one in ten is pregnant. Hundreds of thousands of them have brought along infants and little kids under six, many emaciated and neglected. If this continues and German re-opens its borders, I’m going home to the Czech Republic. Nobody can keep me here in this situation, not even double the salary than at home. I went to Germany, not to Africa or the Middle East.

Even the professor who heads our department told us how sad it makes him to see the cleaning woman, who for 800 Euros cleans every day for years, and then meets young men in the hallways who just wait with their hand outstretched, want everything for free, and when they don’t get it they throw a fit.

I really don’t need this! But I’m afraid that if I return, that at some point it will be the same in the Czech Republic. If the Germans, with their nature cannot handle this, there in Czechia it would be total chaos. Nobody who has not come in contact with them has no idea what kind of animals they are, especially the ones from Africa, and how Muslims act superior to our staff, regarding their religious accommodation.

For now, the local hospital staff has not come down with the diseases they brought here, but, with so many hundreds of patients every day – this is just a question of time.

In a hospital near the Rhine, migrants attacked the staff with knives after they had handed over an 8-month-old on the brink of death, which they had dragged across half of Europe for three months. The child died in two days, despite having received top care at one of the best pediatric clinics in Germany. The physician had to undergo surgery and two nurses are laid up in the ICU. Nobody has been punished.

The local press is forbidden to write about it, so we know about it through email. What would have happened to a German if he had stabbed a doctor and nurses with a knife? Or if he had flung his own syphilis-infected urine into a nurse’s face and so threatened her with infection? At a minimum he’d go straight to jail and later to court. With these people – so far, nothing has happened.

And so I ask, where are all those greeters and receivers from the train stations? Sitting pretty at home, enjoying their non-profits and looking forward to more trains and their next batch of cash from acting like greeters at the stations. If it were up to me I would round up all these greeters and bring them here first to our hospital’s emergency ward, as attendants. Then, into one building with the migrants so they can look after them there themselves, without armed police, without police dogs who today are in every hospital here in Bavaria, and without medical help.

Israel Must Deport the PLO

From: Dan Friedman (TopCopy, NYC) By Daniel Greenfield
On September 13, 1993, Arafat and Rabin shook hands over the Oslo Accord in the Rose Garden. At the end of this September, the PLO’s Abbas finally officially disavowed the Oslo Accords.
The only reason the 80-year-old dictator of the PLO has a new $13 million palace, even while claiming to be short of funds, a $100 million bank account and a 1,000 member presidential guard is because of the same agreement with Israel that he just disavowed.

The PLO repeatedly violated that agreement by waging war against Israel. Its leaders, Arafat and Abbas, made a mockery of the negotiations. They sabotaged every opportunity to reach an agreement making it clear that they did not want a settlement and they did not want to negotiate.

Now Abbas has made it official. He disavowed the accords and set off a new intifada in which Muslims hack at Rabbis with meat cleavers or sink knives into the necks of teenage girls. Abbas lights the match and then plays the victim. He praises the "martyrs" who shoot toddlers and then his representative demands UN action.

This isn't going to get any better. It can only get worse. The PLO has only one trick up its sleeve and it's the same trick. There is zero chance of that changing or of the diplomats who keep the PLO in business finally recognizing that despite all the sunk cost, the PLO state can only destabilize the situation and inspire more violence. There is no solution here. Just dissolution.

There’s only one thing left for Israel to do. It’s time to deport the dictator, who barely controls half the population that he claims to represent, his 1,000 member presidential guard, his 57,000 member Presidential Security Force and the rest of his 150,000 employees who get paid retirement at fifty and many of whom have not reported to work since 2007.

It’s time to deport them all.

America, Europe and Japan have spent billions of dollars paying the salaries of terrorists who don’t even bother pretending to work. Last year their salaries amounted to around $2 billion. Those who do work spend time processing the $130 million a year that the PLO pays to convicted terrorists in Israel.

The PLO’s Palestinian Authority has a Central Elections Commission even though it has no elections. American taxpayers have invested $4.5 billion in promoting democracy in the PA in the last twenty years and there is now less democracy than there was when we first started throwing money at terrorists.

Abbas doesn’t bother running for office. He doesn’t bother negotiating with Israel. He doesn’t bother complying with the Oslo Accords. All he does is throw tantrums at the UN. And if he wants to do that on a full time basis while enjoying the best Manhattan restaurants, the terrorist dictator can buy himself a nice condo in the Turtle Bay Towers overlooking the United Nations and homeless bums shooting up heroin in Dag Hammarskjold Park Plaza.

Then he can denounce Israel weekly at the UN.

Or, better yet, give back his $100 million to the people he stole it from and give him a nice sleeping bag and a bench in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. The drug dealing terrorists on his payroll can supply the heroin.
Deport the Fatah members who have used billions in foreign aid to build themselves a corrupt terrorist empire with fake jobs and foreign aid. Deport the government Imams who screech on its television shows for war with the Jewish “descendants of apes and pigs.” Deport the Palestinian Authority’s terrorist media corps that celebrates every brutal act of Muslim terror and casually calls for genocide.

Deport them all.

The only justification for maintaining this corrupt monstrosity, these tens of thousands of terrorists and the constant calls for mass murder, was the Oslo Accords. Israel had signed an agreement. The PLO violated that agreement every time its terrorists murdered Israelis, every time it called for war with Israel and every time it attacked Israel internationally. But now it has finally disavowed it.

If the PLO is no longer bound by them, Israel isn’t either.

The PLO’s millionaire dictator has given up any legal claims he has to remaining in power and remaining in Israel. He doesn’t hold elections so he isn’t the democratic representative of anyone or anything. He claims a state that encompasses Gaza, but the 1.8 million people living there don’t recognize his rule.

The only reason he was able to have his palace and his billion dollar budgets was that a handful of big countries insisted on pretending that this trainwreck was going somewhere. Now, even as his flag flies over the UN, Abbas has made it clear that it’s going nowhere. He doesn’t want to negotiate with Israel.

He wants the UN to unilaterally impose his demands on Israel. These demands aren’t backed by democratic elections or legal agreements anymore. The dictator just expects to dictate to Israel.

And there’s been enough of that already. Over 1,000 Israelis have been murdered by terrorists. Abbas trained and funded many of the terrorists who killed Israelis. Many of them were part of his presidential guard. Now he demands that the UN force Israel to free his terrorists so that they can kill Jews again.

There’s a better answer. Get rid of them all.

Deport the terrorists, deport their leaders, deport their flunkies, deport their economic advisers who figure out new ways of funneling foreign aid into Swiss bank accounts, deport the police who double as terrorists and deport the paid stone throwers. Deport the entire PLO and Hamas terrorist infrastructure to any country that is stupid enough to take them.

Maybe Cyprus or Tunisia will take them back. Or maybe Japan, which has spent hundreds of millions on funding the PLO, wants them. If not, how about Norway, which made this mess? We know the Saudis and Kuwait doesn’t want them, no matter how much noise they make about their “suffering”.

That just leaves the United Nations. The UN headquarters in New York City is considered international territory. With three buildings full of useless and corrupt bureaucrats, itinerant dictators and their stooges, surely there’s enough room to house the Palestinian Authority government-in-exile.

And the overflow of the Presidential Guard can be dumped in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, though some resistance from the homeless heroin addict population to these new settlers is to be expected.

And if Bill de Blasio’s New York can’t handle all the new homeless terrorists, there’s always Syria.

The PLO and Hamas have spent the past few decades shrieking that they love death and want nothing more than to fight to the death. And then every time Israel takes a whack, they run screaming to hide behind CNN’s skirt. In Syria, they will finally have the opportunity to fight and die like men.

Between ISIS, Iran, Assad, the Russians, US bombing raids and all the different Islamic militias, there will be enough conflicts to chew up and spit out Abbas’ presidential guard, Hamas’ suicide bombers and all the terrorist bureaucrats who haven’t shown up to work since 2007.

Deport them to Syria and let Allah sort out who gets the virgins.
The one thing that Israel should not and cannot do is keep the circus going. Netanyahu has been hoping that at some point the PLO would so thoroughly discredit itself that no one could pretend any longer that a negotiated peace was possible.

But that day will never come.

Abbas disavowed negotiations at the UN and in return, the UN flew his terrorist flag. He refuses to run for office, but the rest of the world pretends that he represents some democratic consensus. His own people accuse him of stealing enough money to keep Arafat’s widow in expensive Parisian handbags for the rest of her life and the international auditors just shrug.

Muslim terrorists can never discredit themselves in the eyes of their Western admirers and supporters. Nothing Abbas does, including his repeated attempts at a unity government with Hamas, will ever convince UN terrorist sympathizers that the failure to achieve peace is the fault of the terrorists.

All Israel can do is wash its hands of the entire business, deport the terrorists and turn them into Syria’s problem. Israel will never convince the UN that it’s right, but it can take the initiative and end the wrong.

The PLO regime has no further legal basis for maintaining its presence inside ’67 Israel. It exists for no other reason except to wage war, military, diplomatic and terroristic, against Israel. It must go.

A Very Syrious Matter

By Tabitha Korol

The Jewish Community Federations of North America have come together to provide humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees. The organizations, paid contractors who are identified in the Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief, are too numerous to mention here, but include AIPAC, AJC, B’nai B’rith Int’l, HIAS, ORT America, and National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), who are furthering the cause of population redistribution.

Refugees, unlike migrants, are defined as those who flee their homes because of persecution. President Obama authorized the State Department to admit 85,000 refugees fleeing humanitarian crises worldwide in 2016. Just as these Islamists have invaded Europe, so our multiculturalists are funding their invasion into America, and despite Saudi Arabia’s air-conditioned tents that are erected and ready to accommodate three million for their annual pilgrimage to Medina, no “Syrians” are welcomed within the Islamic world. By definition, not only are these Syrians not refugees, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confessed that they have no screening process for “Syrian refugees.”

ISIS/IS promised a “sea of chaos” to flood the West with 500,000 refugees – not merely to create a humanitarian crisis and strain our resources, but to also include jihadists to force Islamic conversion and establish Sharia as the law of the land. Islamic countries claim to have declined the Syrians because of terror risks, and the Jewish Federations have turned a blind eye. Historian Serge Trifkovic wrote: “The refusal of the Western elite class to protect their nations from jihadist infiltration is the biggest betrayal in history.”

And who are these Syrians? The Federation’s announcement contained a particularly deceptive photo of a wide-eyed, blonde toddler complete with Teddy bear, but the refugees are primarily able-bodied young men, weaned on anti-Semitism and hatred of the West and democracy, who are seen stomping on or burning our flags, brandishing rifles, hurling fire bombs, and wielding swords for decapitation. These are Islamists who have waged wars against Jews and Christians, and brought their savagery to Europe, complete with their methods of intimidation – riots and rapes of children and women. The rape count was more than 5,000 in 2008 and more than 6,000 in 2009; Muslims account for 50 to 75 percent of all rapes of women in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, and these are the men who are designated to receive Federation funding.

The BBC’s website of 200 images is also dishonest in its refugee presentation – providing a 53% focus on children, 36 percent men, and 10 percent women, whereas the United Nations Refugee Agency revealed that 75 percent of “refugees” were young men.

Interestingly, the largest Muslim charity, with its link to terror financing and settling refugees from terror-torn Syria, has an operating budget of $240 million in over 30 countries. The charity is part of a network calling for the settlement of thousands of Syrian refugees into “rich countries.” Indeed, this is Barack Obama’s 2008 promise to fundamentally transform America, and the Islamic State’s threat to flood the West. Jusuf Al Qaradawi of the Muslim Brotherhood declared their mission “to free the occupied lands of the laws and the tyranny of disbelievers. It is undoubtedly a case of jihad for the sake of Allah.” Are we to believe that the Federations (and the BBC) are unwittingly complicit as they aid and abet those who would bring their misery to the West?

Crain’s Cleveland Business reported that David Fleshler, chair of the board of directors of Global Cleveland, seeks to invite 100,000 foreigners to Ohio. Is it possible he is unaware that Ohio is one of eleven states that already have more people on welfare than are employed, and that the Qur’an prohibits Muslims from assimilating into kaffir lands? He alleges that immigrants will integrate and be employable, while Darrell Hamm, director of the non-profit The Refugee Response, claims to assist refugees with their adjustment.

Judicial Watch’s Corruption Chronicles states: “Conveniently omitted are the devastating impacts of illegal immigration like the billions of dollars American taxpayers spend annually on their education, healthcare and incarceration,” as Germany is now experiencing. They bring with them greater demands for intolerance and accommodations, destruction of the existing cultures, rioting and violent crime, as they perform the Qur’anic edicts to establish jurisdiction in lands of the infidel.

Judicial Watch’s recent report shows that 1,519 foreigners with terrorist ties were granted special exemptions and residency or asylum through a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program, to which President Obama appointed Fatima Noor to the post of assistant director for US Citizenship and Immigration. Where prior to 2014, they would have been banned from entry, these 1,519 are currently in the US with the same rights and benefits afforded legal residents. At a time when restrictions were being eased during an asylum fraud of February, 2014, the administration unilaterally altered the Immigration and Nationality Act while also announcing our projected acceptance of refugees to 100,000 yearly by 2017. NumbersUSA reported that a new Pew study found that immigration will account for 88 percent of US population growth over the next 50 years.

The Frankfurter Allgemenie and international statistics show that these foreigners are not “refugees,” but “migrants” who are not under threat of war or persecution. The migration is their hijrah, a 1400-year-old strategy of Islamic expansionism, which, coupled with military conquest, will subvert and subdue the host and begin the complete transformation of that country. These are migrant warriors.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wisely warned that the wave of mostly Muslim refugees coming to Europe threatens to undermine the continent’s Christian roots. “They represent a profoundly different culture.” All too obvious is the dearth of Christian and Jewish refugees who truly need asylum from the jihadists.

Meanwhile, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), headed by former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, and Labour politician, praises the intake of Muslims into Germany (as the Germans march and rebel against Islamization), Iceland and Sweden, and demands that Obama admit 65,000 mostly Muslim Syrians to the US. Miliband, who is affiliated with George Soros, Hillary and Bill Clinton, and Samantha Power, reminds us that more than 11 million Syrians have been made homeless by conflict and Syria is host to 33,000 asylum seekers and refugees from Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia. Miliband will not admit that Arab states refuse their brethren, but he is sure to remind us that no matter how many we take in, the number will be “unacceptable.”

The very lucrative refugee resettlement progams are used by those who hate non-Muslim countries and wish to replace their laws with Sharia. Breitbart News reveals that the US already admits more than a quarter of a million Muslim migrants each year. Obama wants to add 10,000 Syrian migrants to that number. The Jewish Federations, Catholic Charities, World Council of Churches, and other “altruist” counterparts are conspiring against democracy, unintentionally or deliberately, to destroy Western civilization. To support them is to hasten some very Syrious and irreparable consequences.

By Isaac Yetiv, Ph.D.

Almost two years of "negotiations," the final "deal" appears as a total surrender of the Obama government to all the demands of the Ayatollahs who boasted that all their red lines have been met . The deal will put them on the path to become a nuclear power, not as a pariah but legitimized by the US and Europe; they will continue to enrich uranium and to develop their ICBM program ; the lifting of the sanctions will give them 150 billion dollars to improve their economy and their military capabilities which include, of course, strengthening Hizbollah, Hamas, and other purveyors of terror in the troubled Middle-East.

The bazaar merchants have trounced the feeble and naïve negotiators led by the team Obama-Kerry. You would think they have defeated America militarily and are now dictating their terms, as the allies in Versailles with Germany or McArthur in Japan. Years ago, Obama asked the Iranian mullahs to "unclench their fists " and normalize relations with America. They didn't but he did; he opened his hands, he raised his hands and said "Don't shoot ! We give you what you want."

The flaws in the preliminaries:

Some observers think that the original sin was not to limit the negotiators to US vs Iran but to include what is called P5+1 with Russia and China a sort of fifth column siding with Iran. This was, indeed, a flaw, but a deliberate one, not a mistake. I think the Obama team knew in advance that they wanted a deal at any price, and intentionally enlarged the forum so that they could use the "other partners" as excuses for the multiple concessions they knew they had to make . How many times we heard Kerry say, apologetically, that "we are not alone;we had no choice if we wanted to keep our partners..."

Another flaw was pointed out by James Jeffrey , former ambassador to Iraq, who said after the "Interim agreement:" Those who studied the art of negotiating found two big mistakes that should be avoided :never show that you are desperate to obtain a deal and never take off the table a credible threat of use of military force if the talks collapse." The shrewd Iranians knew that Obama was desperate for a deal and swore off the use of force, and they ratched up their demands.

Rather than set a time limit, the negotiations continued on and off indefinitely. The give-and-take which is the essence of any negotiation, was a one-way activity : we gave and they took, slowly but surely, extension after extension, concession after concession, red line after red line crossed. That is a huge flaw, for what is in discussion here? Obama started with bombastic declarations, often repeated, that "we will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon...I don't mean to only contain ..." It was a very simple proposition: First Iran should dismantle her nuclear paraphernalia,( as did Qaddafi of Libya after America attacked Iraq,) and then discuss the modalities and the compensations. But Iran never said it would dismantle the nuclear facilities, above and underground, known and secret, in Natanz, Fordow, Parchin and other places. So they negotiated the "time line," when and how it will be permitted to acquire the bomb.

The dirty trick and the foul arithmetic:

Obama and Kerry didn't show one ounce of shrewdness vis-à-vis the Mullahs; they reserved all their malice and trickery for the US Congress and the American people. We can only admire their political dexterity when they dealt with Congress. First, they said there was no need for Congressional involvement. We remember Kelly's astonishing statement that "the deal with Iran was not legally binding...that it was unenforceable." But with pressure mounting from their own Democrats, they conceded a role to the Congress, both houses, and made the nuclear deal with Iran appear like any regular legislation where the president proposes, both houses vote, and the president reserves the right to veto. Thus, only 34 votes in the Senate will sustain the presidential veto because the remaining 66 are not enough to override the veto. But this is a monumental act of deceit because an agreement signed by seven countries (even two are enough), an agreement of such magnitude that took 18 months to negotiate and involves hundred of billions of dollars and millions of human lives, is an INTERNATIONAL TREATY ! and, as such, per the US Constitution, requires ratification by the US Senate whose prerogative is to "advise, consent, concur, and ratify." And the arithmetic is different: Two-thirds of the Senate are required to ratify an international treaty, i.e. 67 votes are needed . In other words, 34 Senators are enough to reject the treaty. And the Republicans alone can do that.

This dirty trick is tantamount to the nullification of the Constitution. Apparently, Mitch Mc Connell and his fellow Republicans were asleep when they allowed themselves to be hoodwinked by the sly politicos of the Democrats. But it is not too late. They may still invoke the Constitution and reverse course, even go to the Supreme Court and demand to call this agreement an "INTERNATIONAL TREATY." Or they can pass legislation --or "It is the sense of the Senate-- that this agreement is an INTERNATIONAL TREATY that requires ratification by the Senate with a two-third majority, OR any other action.

The diplomatic strip-tease that led to capitulation:

From concession to concession by the so-called P5+1, nothing was left to concede. Then, and only then, the totalitarian theocracy deigned to sign-up on the "deal." Its leaders boasted that all their red-lines had been met. There was jubilation in Tehran, and an atmosphere of mourning and a feeling of betrayal in Israel and the Sunni Arab countries where "the shoe really pinches." To appease the unappeasable, Obama and his acolytes caved and caved again and practically gave away the store, in a crescendo of incredible and dangerous stupidity:

1. Even if Iran docilely signed up on a total dismantling of their nuclear apparatus, as did Qaddafi after the American invasion of Iraq, and as Obama himself repeatedly demanded, it would still not be trusted because its past performance --it has violated 20 international agreements. The Iranian mullahs cheat as a matter of course with a straight face and a clear "conscience" because they obey, as they say, a higher religious authority in accordance with the precept of "taqiya" that requires them to lie to protect Islam or a Muslim.

2. Knowing that, Obama team and the others boasted that they were following Reagan's slogan of "Trust and verify!" and Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz, Ben Rhodes from the White House, and others talked of "an unfettered 24/7 regimen of inspections anytime, anywhere..." (which Kerry, after the surrender, denied they ever said that, even when the TV screen was showing the persons saying just that.) The final agreement allows 24 days of advance notice to the Iranians before any inspection could take place, and the inspectors must apply to a UN committee on which sits, of course, the Iranian delegate who may appeal and delay and stall --experts estimate that it will take 50 days-- more than enough time to cheat, to hide, to move and remove, to destroy evidence of any suspect activity.

Moreover, Obama dropped the original demands to inspect military sites, to shut down the centrifuges, the plutonium facility in Arak, the underground nuclear facility in Fordow, and many other installations that are not needed for peaceful civilian purposes.

3. Having given up on everything, the negotiators adopted a consoling attitude : "Don't worry, repeated Obama publicly, if they cheat, we will snap back the sanctions." Really? After his partners, the Russians, the Chinese, and even the Europeans heaved a sigh of relief after getting rid of those pesky sanctions and starting to fill their coffers with some of the 150 billion" reward" that Iran could spend. They can now buy Iranian oil and sell them weapons and machinery? How delusional can a president be! Once the genie is out of the bottle, it cannot be put back. Iran will certainly use the money to "continue helping their allies," as the Supreme Leader himself proclaimed, allies like Hizbollah, Hamas, the Yemenite rebels and others, and inflame the region and beyond.

4) And here is the most outrageous part of the deal, apparently added at the last moment as an extra-bonus ( it was not in the "interim agreement.") : " The West will train the Iranians, through courses and workshops,to prevent, protect, and respond to nuclear security threats to their nuclear facilities and systems and to thwart any acts of sabotage..."

Unbelievable! America and its partners lift the sanctions, won't inspect, allow 150 billion, keep the nuclear apparatus intact, and now ,from " stupid benefactors" they become "dumb protectors and defenders" of the worst sponsor of terrorism in the world. And protectors from whom? It is so transparent as a warning to Israel, of course, whose secret partnership with Obama's government in a project of "sabotage" called Stuxnet became publicly known via American leaks.

Secretary Kerry was grilled in the Senate by Senator Rubio who asked if that meant that America would defend Iran against an Israeli attack, to which Kerry responded that the US could assist in the protection of Iran against an Israeli attack. It boggles the mind to imagine such arrogant depravity : to protect and defend those who continue to yell "Death to America" and to sacrifice their only real ally in the Middle-East and the only democracy in the region.

5) And to top it all, it has just been reported that the UN signed with the Iranians two --maybe more--" secret side deals" which were not only not shared with the US Congress --in itself a violation-- but that even Obama and Kerry are not aware of,or so they say. Time will tell if they are lying again and if, in fact, they are partners in the secret. The American public heard of the secret deals, not from the government but thanks to the diligent efforts of two Republican senators who traveled to the source and inquired. As to the substance of the secrets, it was reported that the UN --i.e. the P5+1 including the US-- " allowed Iran to collect their own samples for inspection, " that is to investigate themselves. The tragedy is now a farce. Maybe we will hear that they allowed them to appoint their own inspectors !

The surrender of the Obama-Kerry team puts to shame Neville Chamberlain's appeasement of Hitler: Chamberlain capitulated to Hitler at Munich, but he didn't fill the the Nazi dictator 's banks with billions of sterling pounds, and he didn't pledge to protect and defend Germany against a French attack.

How can we explain the strange and dangerous actions of Obama and Kerry?

The word "legacy" was invoked by some commentators, and often repeated, to explain the deal. According to this theory, Obama, in his way out, wanted to ensure his place in the history books; this is why he passed "Obamacare," the American Dream in favor of millions of illegal aliens, and now this nuclear deal with Iran. I don't subscribe to this explanation for the simple reason that all these "accomplishments" may prove, even before Obama leaves office, to be striking failures, and then, adieu to the "legacy." Some say that they are naïve, inexperienced, incompetent. That may be true, but they had armies of experts advising them, and the "negotiations" took a long time during which they heard a lot of criticism from foe and friend including their own generals and the Pentagon which they overruled. They know what they are doing, they know the risks to America and its allies, and they don't care.

I believe the forces that impelled both Obama and Kerry to act as they did are internal, anchored in a rigid ideology and a belief system that is an indelible part of their political DNA. In his two books, and subsequent discourses and actions as president, Obama never hid his views against American imperialism, warmongering, racist behavior, and exploitation of other countries. Five days before his first election, he promised to "transform America," and when elected, he toured the world "apologizing for America's bad past." He praised Islam for contributing to the development of America, and he repeatedly refused to condemn the extremist "radical jihadists," even to the point of forbidding the use of this appellation. He hastened the fall of Mubarak in Egypt, supported his follower Morsi and his "Muslim Brotherhood," and opposed Sisi who deposed Morsi ,and still does. He showed contempt for the PM of Israel and scolded him for allowing the building of an extra-room in a Jewish neighborhood while allowing ,and aiding Iran's nuclear project. The list can fill pages.

As expected, Obama's appointees share his warped leftist ideology that brooks no compromise. If he facts do not conform to it, so much the worst for the facts. His arrogant narcissism is no longer in doubt; he feels he, and only he, knows the Truth, and he mocks and demonizes those who disagree with him. Kerry, as his Secretary of State, matches his boss in his views of America. He met in Paris, illegally during the Vietnam conflict, with the representatives of the Vietcong who were fighting America, and later in Washington D.C., he attacked US soldiers, his comrades-in-arms, and accused them, falsely, of being " rapists and murderers reminiscent of Genghis Khan." (How can we forget that picture on TV?)

Even before the negotiations for the "nuclear deal," he lobbied to have the sanctions against Iran removed; he took political contributions from Iranian-Americans connected with Tehran; and even on the personal side, his daughter married an Iranian and the best man was no other than the son of the Iranian foreign minister with whom he later negotiated the (in)famous deal. And the two negotiators met a decade ago at the house of George Soros, another anti-American and anti-Israel extreme leftist.
It looks as if the president and his secretary of state are on a mission to praise, protect and defend their enemies, to despise and punish their allies, and to diminish America.

How they could get away with it?

Standard National Security Community Asks for Executive Action on Electrical Grid Security
May 20, 2015
On May 14, a bi-partisan group of over 30 former high-level military, intelligence, national security policy makers, and scientists requested that the President initiate an effort to harden critical civilian electrical grid infrastructure to withstand the same catastrophic events for which the military has hardened its own critical infrastructure.

May 14, 2015
President Barack Obama
President of the United States
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW
Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear Mr. President,
We need your personal intervention to provide for the protection of the American people against an existential threat posed by natural and manmade electromagnetic pulse (EMP). The consequent failure of critical infrastructures that sustain our lives is a major national security threat and would be catastrophic to our people and our nation.

The National Intelligence Council, which speaks for the entire U.S. Intelligence Community, published in its 2012 unclassified Global Trends 2030 report that an EMP is one of only eight Black Swan events that could change the course of global civilization by or before 2030. No official study denies the view that an EMP is a potentially catastrophic societal threat that needs to be addressed urgently.

America is not prepared to be without water, electricity, telephones, computer networks, heating, air conditioning, transportation (cars, subways, buses, airplanes), and banking. All the benefits of our just-in-time economy would come to a deadly halt, including the production of petroleum products, clothing, groceries and medicine. Think about cities without electricity to pump water to their residents.

Some signatures to this letter are from people who—like a growing number of Americans—have only recently learned about the EMP threat and find it hard to believe that our government has permitted it to continue. They joined in signing because they, in representing those same Americans, wish to show broad support for qualified experts ending this vulnerability as quickly as possible.

An EMP is like a super-energetic radio wave from natural or manmade causes that can damage and destroy electronic systems across vast regions, potentially across the entire continental United States, across Europe, or any other country that has not hardened its electric power grid. Russia and China have substantially hardened their electric grids. Other nations are beginning to harden theirs. But the United States has done little or nothing to counter this threat.

We urge you immediately to issue a Presidential Study Directive (PSD) directing your National Security Advisor to lead a focused inter-agency effort to provide, in connection with your current budget execution activities and future budget requests, a specific program to address this natural and man-made threat. In particular, this PSD should direct that hardening technology, well known in the Department of Defense, be exploited by all agencies with responsibility for maintaining the electric power grid.

It is imperative that plans are immediately implemented to protect America’s at least 100 nuclear reactors and their co-located spent fuel storage facilities from an EMP. It should also take into account bipartisan congressional initiatives, such as the Secure High-Voltage Infrastructure for Electricity from Lethal Damage (SHIELD) Act and the Critical Infrastructure Protection Act (CIPA).

A coronal mass ejection from the Sun can generate a natural EMP with catastrophic consequences. A geomagnetic super-storm in 1859 called the Carrington Event caused worldwide damage and fires in telegraph stations and other primitive electronics, which at the time were not necessary for societal survival.

In contrast, today a Carrington-class geomagnetic super-storm—expected every century or so—could collapse electric grids and destroy critical infrastructure everywhere on Earth. We know it will happen; we just don’t know when, but we know humanity can’t risk being unprepared. In July 2012, we missed a repeat by only a few days when a major solar emission passed through the Earth’s orbit just after planet Earth passed. NASA recently warned that the likelihood of such a geomagnetic super-storm is 12-percent per decade; so it is virtually certain that a natural EMP catastrophe shall occur within our lifetime or that of our children.

As we have known for over a half-century from actual test data, even more damaging EMP effects would be produced by any nuclear weapon exploded a hundred miles or so above the United States, possibly disabling everything that depends on electronics for control or operations within a line of sight from the explosion. Electricity networks could be shut down indefinitely until major repairs could be made, and this could take months, even years. Cascading failures from even a lower altitude nuclear burst over the northeastern U.S. could indefinitely shut down the electric grid that produces three quarters of U.S. electric power. Computers would be incapacitated.

Supply chains would shut down. Imagine Hurricane Sandy affecting a much larger area without the immediate physical damage, but also without any hope for relief supplies.

Russia and China have already developed nuclear EMP weapons and many believe others possess EMP weapons including North Korea and soon Iran—and likely their terrorist surrogates. For example, they could launch nuclear-armed short or medium range missiles from near our coasts, possibly hiding the actual sponsor from retaliation. North Korea and Iran have tested their missiles in ways that can execute effective EMP attacks from ships or from satellites that approach the U.S. from the south where our ballistic missile warning systems are minimal.

The technology to mitigate these effects is well known and used by the Department of Defense for decades to harden our strategic nuclear systems to assure that the U.S. has the ability to retaliate should we be attacked. But such technology and commitment to ongoing maintenance have not been used to harden our critical national infrastructure. In addition, our ballistic missile defense (BMD) systems have not yet been focused on this problem.

For example, you could reinforce your recent Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement with the Philippines by jointly installing an Aegis Ashore BMD site in the Philippines—like those being placed in Romania and Poland—to support the defense of the Philippines and to provide advanced warning and information to support our homeland defense.

We urge that the above-mentioned PSD assure funding to harden the critical elements of our electric power grid and especially our nuclear facilities to assure their recovery from either a natural or man-made EMP event. These efforts can be guided by a mainstream scientific consensus, first established by the congressionally mandated EMP Commission, which examined nuclear and natural EMP and delivered its first classified report to Congress in 2004 and its final unclassified report in 2008.

The National Academy of Sciences subsequently independently re-examined the EMP Commission’s warnings about the consequences of a geomagnetic super-storm and arrived at the same conclusion and endorsed the recommendations of the EMP Commission. Several other non-partisan reviews have also concurred. The EMP Commission recommended a cost-effective plan, endorsed by all subsequent U.S. government studies, to protect, within a few years, U.S. critical infrastructures from the worst effects of EMP. The Commission estimated a one-time cost of $2 billion for EMP protection of the national electric grid, which is about what the U.S. gives to Pakistan every year in foreign aid.

In addition, we urge that your PSD include near-term improvements to our operating ballistic missile defense (BMD) systems to assure they can defend against the man-made EMP threats as quickly as possible—before the electric grid can be hardened. Our already operating Aegis BMD systems (over 30 ships at sea and Aegis Ashore Sites in Hawaii and being deployed in Romania and Poland) and Ground-Based Interceptors (on Vandenberg Air Force Base, California) can be used to counter the threats from the South and from vessels off our coasts, with minor modifications and if their crews are trained to do so.

No additional development costs are necessary and deployment costs would be less than approved for our overseas deployments to defend our European allies against Iranian ballistic missiles.

Mr. President, both Republicans and Democrats have known how to deal with this issue for at least thirty years but have done nothing about it. Bipartisan efforts in Congress have failed in spite of the fact that neither technology nor expense should be an issue. Dealing effectively with this issue is a matter of achieving the needed political leadership and will.

The American people need you to lead the efforts to protect our nation from an EMP catastrophe. We write to urge you to pursue our request.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. George Baker – Former U.S. Defense Nuclear Agency EMP Program Director, Professor Emeritus on Critical Infrastructure Protection, James Madison University
